Transferware is a style of ceramic decoration first developed in England during the Industrial Revolution. At the height of production, around the middle 1800s, there were hundreds of potteries in the region of Stoke-on-Trent applying a signature mark to the underside of their wares. This is the same process used to create the Sir/Madam Maker's Mark dinner service - but they quite literally turned things upside down, creating a pattern out of the marks of some of our favorite bygone makers.

Dinner plates, side plates, and footed bowls come in sets of four unique designs, and corresponding platters and pure linen napkins complete the collection. Try mixing them with your favorite vintage pieces.
